Flok
Designed, not scheduled.

Whether a retreat is worth the spend comes down to its design, not its destination.

Flok designs the retreat around what it needs to accomplish, then runs the venue, the structure, and the logistics. You're there to lead it, not manage it.

The difference

We start with one question: what does this retreat need to accomplish?

Everything follows. Down to who sits with whom.

To reconnect a distributed team
we mix small groups across location, function, and tenure, then reshuffle them across meals and sessions.
They go home knowing the people behind the names.
To get a team aligned on what's next
we mix seniority and function so the real disagreement surfaces early, while there's still time to work it through.
They go home with the decision made, not deferred.

One element. Two designs. Because the goals are different.

How it works

See your number-one objective designed, before you commit.

A fit call first, then the design workshop. You leave with your primary objective and the design around it, in writing.

Step 1

The design workshop

If we're a fit, we run a working session to get to the primary objective: the one thing this retreat has to accomplish. That sets the shape of everything after.

Step 2
Flok Retreat Blueprint
Designed around your primary objective

Your Blueprint

The outcome of your design workshop, a written document showing how the retreat is designed around that objective. Not the full itinerary. The first few decisions that will shape your retreat toward your primary goal. Yours to keep, whether you partner with us or not.

Step 3

Once we partner

We complete the Blueprint with the secondary goals and define how we'll measure success. Then we build the retreat and run it on-site. Every vendor, every transfer. You lead it. We run the rest.

The handoff

Lead the retreat. Don't run it.

You know this version. The retreat becomes a second job. Months of sourcing, contracts, chasing the vendor who fell through, rebuilding the rooming list twice. None of it is the work that decides whether the retreat lands. All of it is the work that takes the months.

Flok runs that operation. Sourcing, contracts, vendors, every transfer. You get the months back, and you lead the retreat instead of running it.

"The team worked independently and pulled us in only when appropriate or necessary. It was a huge lift off our shoulders." Matthew Beal, Director of Product Marketing, Storable

Case study

Toronto was the destination. The design was the reason it worked.

Guestlogix · First-time retreat · 75 people · Toronto

Guestlogix builds travel technology. Their team was spread across the globe and had drifted from the mission, developers writing code for travelers they rarely had reason to picture. New leadership, a sharper direction, and one goal for the retreat: make the mission something the team could feel, not just read in a deck.

Flok designed the retreat around that goal. The centerpiece was a large group activity with the product team at its heart, the experience the whole retreat was built around. Flok built the structure and the conditions for it. The team did the thinking inside it, and the insight was theirs.

"The moment everything clicked was during our reflection workshop. Seeing our developers connect their code decisions to real traveler pain points they'd just experienced, that was transformative."Robin Hopper, CEO, Guestlogix

They left building differently. Guestlogix still references Toronto when they make product calls. The retreat became how the company decides.

Is Flok right for your retreat?

We're not for everyone. Here's where we do our best work.

Flok is a strategy-first corporate retreat planning company for remote and distributed tech teams. We handle the venue, the structure, the logistics, and the on-site operation. Your team owns the content: the strategy, the sessions, the decisions. You can also bring us in for venue sourcing only.

Best for

Distributed tech companies of 100 to 1000, bringing the team together once or twice a year.

Probably not

Teams chasing the lowest bid, or already deep in sourcing with another planner.

What you get

A retreat designed around your goals, then run end to end.

Wherever your team needs to be, we source the venue and run the ground operation. San Diego, Phoenix, Austin, Denver, Miami, and beyond.

No pressure

What you're probably weighing.

01

It's not a pitch.

A working session. You leave with a point of view on your retreat, whether or not you hire us.

02

You don't need it figured out yet.

The fit call exists to find the one thing the retreat has to accomplish. Most teams haven't pinned that down. That's what the call is for.

03

Follow-up on your terms.

No obligation. We check in once on your timeline, not a cadence built to chase you.

Your retreat, designed.

Tell us what this retreat needs to accomplish. Flok runs the venue, the structure, the logistics. You're there to lead it.
